We get them from Trade Shows
We get them from Associations
We get them from List Brokers
We get the from Business Directories
We get them from Website
We get them from Subscription Magazines
And they all have One Thing in Common.
They are useless.
Well, pretty much.
No matter the source of the list, one thing I can guarantee you is the information will be incomplete or entirely wrong.
We’ve come across dead people, those that have moved on, closed businesses, re-named businesses and more.
The only way to make a list worth SOMETHIN’ is to clean it.
Start by calling to confirm the information.
If the phone number is wrong — try an internet search to locate the correct one.
Once you have verified complete addresses, phone numbers, decision maker names & titles — you are good to go.
A quick confirmation every 3 months will ensure that your marketing efforts are being targeted to the Right People.
